Dear friends,

I am happy to be in New York again, even though in my country today it is Queen’s day, a national celebration. This is why I am wearing my orange tie.

Thank you, Nina, for organizing this event and giving me the opportunity to address all of you. It is always good to be among friends.

I have oftn told my congregation, If you are not sure God's will in a situation or circumstance, just watch the "crowd," and then go the oppoite direction. Gert Wilders is a man who has gone the opposite way from the crowd. May God bless and protect him, as he stands for the truth against Islam in his country of crowd-goers.

The following link is an excellent source to get us thinking on a very important issue.  The article was written by Walid Shoebat, a name familiar to all of us who hold to the Islamic Paradigm.  It was posted on my favorite prophecy blog, Midnightwather’s Blogspot.  The comments following the article are quite revealing of the different perspectives on this issue (including “yours truly”).  I recommend it for your reading and comment, if the Lord leads you!

Book Review: “Islam: The Cloak of the Antichrist” by Jack Smith

Posted by ⋅ January 13, 2012 ⋅ 2 Comments

Islam: The Cloak of the Antichrist is bound to be extremely controversial. The title alone is enough to set people off. Writing under the pseudonym of “Jack Smith,” the author’s main argument is that Islam matches the Biblical prophecies concerning the Antichrist.

Smith starts the book by defining terms and outlining his method. “Antichrist has two meanings in the Bible. First, ‘antichrist’ is a demonic influence that may or may not be incarnate… Second, in the last days, ‘Antichrist’ is an incarnate satanic spirit possessing supernatural powers that will lead a false religion in its quest for dominion of the entire world (see Rev. 13:7-8, 11-18; 17:8, 11)” (XIII). Smith notes his argument is that “Islam’s prophesied ‘Mahdi’ will be interpreted as the Antichrist in the last days” (ibid.). As far as method goes, Smith notes the importance of reading many prophecies as apocalyptic literature–steeped in metaphor (XVII). “Bible prophecy,” writes Smith, “is like a giant jigsaw puzzle; except, there is no picture on the box. Each piece can only be confirmed to be the ‘right piece’ if it fits with the pieces around it, which must fit the pieces around them, and so on” (XVIII). Finally, Smith notes that he is not trying to enter into discussion about different methods of interpretation or to discuss all the variant interpretations of each passage (XIX). A Look at the End Times Through a New Paradigm

In his book “Islam the Cloak of Antichrist” Jack Smith interprets end times prophecy using a new paradigm, a new model which has been referred to by some as the “Islamic Paradigm.” Smith’s work is a wide-ranging study of a complex subject.

I recently came across this website (www.ilovemuhammad.com) as I was doing a web search on the Muslim views of Jesus (see http://ilovemuhammed.com/questions/86-what-does-islam-say-about-jesus-pbuh).  The highlights of my entry page were intriguing:

What do Muslims believe about Jesus [pbuh]?

Answer: Muslims revere, respect, and love Jesus. … No Muslim can be a Muslim if he/she rejects Jesus, it is a fundamental of faith for the Muslim to believe in Jesus,…  The Quran tells us a lot about Jesus, who he was, his miracles, and his mission.

How can a site named “ilovemuhammad,” state, “No Muslim can be a Muslim if he/she rejects Jesus, it is a fundamental of faith for the Muslim to believe in Jesus”?  It is one thing for a Muslim to state that “Jesus is only a prophet [and not the Son of God],” and quite another to state, ”No Muslim can be a Muslim if he/she rejects Jesus…”

As I reflect on what I call the ”dressed-down” version of Jesus that Islam has concocted, the above statement seemed to make sense after all. In a future post, I will discuss Muslim eschatology regarding the return of Jesus. Islamic end-time prophecy includes the descent of Jesus from heaven, along with his declaration that Islam is the one, true, religion, and Christianity is a fabrication by Jesus’ left-behind, over-zealous disciples!  But that topic will have to await another post; for now, we will look at Islam’s “dressed down” version of the crucified, risen, Lord Jesus.

We handed them out as people left church that Palm Sunday– the Branches, that is; long, narrow, Palm Branches.

Palm Sunday in Jerusalem

I had just finished preaching from John 12:12-19, a text familiar to most Christians. The text paints the picture of an expectant and exuberant crowd, most of them waving Palm Branches, as Jesus enters Jerusalem seated upon a donkey; a glorious celebration, no doubt.  As my congregants left that Sunday morning, I remember crying out,  “Wave your branches high,” as if the higher they were held the more “real” Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem was.  But my cry was to little avail.  As I reflect now, my congregants were more interested in waving good-by to one another than in waving Palm Branches. The Palms seemed like an after-thought, almost like a party-favor for attending church that day.  But that was then, and now is now. Since then, I have learned about the plight of “dhimmis,” and what it meant when the Palm Branches were taken out of the their hands so many years ago. It is my prayer that a little history will make this Palm Sunday one you will never forget.

Sometimes I just don’t understand.  The world is about to be engulfed with World War III, and all I seem to be worried about is who will win the 2012 NCAA Basketball Tournament!  It seems so close to the time prophesied by Christ:

Matthew 24:37-39  37 “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 “For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Daniel Pearl before his beheading by Muslims, 2002

As a pastor, I already have six weddings on my calendar this year.  I am counseling couples about their wedding day without regard to Israeli bombs falling on the Gaza Strip, or Afghanis retaliating for the desecration of the Qur’an, or Arabians in the Peninsula in the cross-fires of Iranian nuclear destruction (Revelation 18:6). It is as if the people of the world, at least the West, are oblivious to what is going on around them. Such was the case for the time of Noah, and such will be the case for the time of tribulation.  Praise God — some voices are speaking out — even in the secular halls of academia!

Fox News recently reported on the “Pearl Project,” an investigative project conducted by Georgetown University to “enable students to learn the techniques and methods … of investigative journalism as well as cutting edge computer-assisted reporting techniques.” (see http://pearlproject.georgetown.edu/thefuture.html).

The Pearl Project is co-led by Asra Nomani, a 46-year-old former journalist who worked alongside the late Daniel Pearl, and currently a teacher at Georgetown University, and Barbara Feinman Todd, current journalism director for Georgetown University English Department. Daniel Pearl, an investigative reporter for the Wall Street Journal, was beheaded on February 2, 2002 by Al-Qaeda.  He went to Pakistan as part of an investigation into the alleged links between Richard Reid (the “shoe bomber”) and Al-Qaeda, but never returned. He was beheaded by his captors, who included, by his own admission, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, one of the master minds of the attacks of 9/11.  Nomani and Todd, both educators and journalists, have sought to educate today’s secular minded collegians with the necessity of pure, unbiased journalism, and unaffected by the prejudices of modern-day society.  Included with this effort is the “Pearl Project” which seeks to uncover the complete truth of the assassins of Daniel Pearl.

In a recent Fox News story, Nomani states,

We’re saying that you can’t go into our mosques, you can’t look at our Muslim organizations, you can’t even look at Muslims because that’s to target us,” she told Fox News during an interview in suburban Washington. “But the truth is, we do have a problem in our Muslim community. (See http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/03/13/muslim-journalist-defends-spying-by-nypd-says-some-muslims-use-religion-as/#ixzz1p2HvJVxI)

Nomani continues, “We use religion as a cover,” and, ”radical ideology is very real — and damaging to all Muslims.” (See, http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/03/13/muslim-journalist-defends-spying-by-nypd-says-some-muslims-use-religion-as/#ixzz1p2HvJVxI).

That sounds like the ring-of-truth to me; and, it is also “biblical.”  Here is how the Apostle Paul puts it:

2 Corinthians 11:14, No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

Disguised as an “angel of light”?  Does the god of a religion qualify as an “angel of light”?  How about Allah? Would he make the cut?

What does the Bible say to help us to know if the god of a religion is a true “angel of light” or the deceiver who masquerades as the One, True, God?  Jesus helps us here:

Luke 6:44-45 “For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush. 45 “The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.

And also:

Matthew 12:33  “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit.

Bad fruit, good fruit?  You will know the ”tree” by its “fruit”?  Tell me, if the “fruit” reveals the “tree,” what is the “tree” that the following video identifies?

When Islam honors Allah by the death of the “Daniel Pearls” of the world, the true root of Islam is exposed. It is evil that masquerades as good. The religion is merely a “cloak” that covers the real nature of the deceiver.  The deceiver is satan, and his earthly demonic manifestation is Allah (Revelation 13:4).

I know a good book that will flesh this out for you:  Islam the Cloak of Antichrist.  Be careful; the book will lead you to ask a difficult question: ”Do you have the courage to handle the truth?”

Ever wonder why the Middle East is always such a powder-keg of conflict? What the roots of the conflict are between the Jews and all her “neighbors”? I got this question recently from a visitor to my book’s website, so I thought I would post my reply for all to read and comment.

Let’s begin with Abraham, the patriarch

Jews Praying at the Temple Wailing Wall

of the world’s three major monotheistic religions. Abraham left his homeland (Haran) along with his wife, Sarah, to journey to the land God was to “show him” (Genesis 12:1). God’s promise to Abraham was to “make [him] a great nation,” and “bless all the families of the earth” through his obedience (12:2-3). Fast forward to the 16th chapter of Genesis. Sarah, Abraham’s wife was unable to have children (Genesis 16:1-2).  So, Sarah took things into her own hands, and gave Abraham her Egyptian slave, Read the rest of this entry »

The following article was forwarded to me by a close friend. The suggestion in the article was so “noble,” that I responded on the site of the author, Richard Miniter, and gave it a post here.

The U.S. Military Should Hand Out Qurans in Afghanistan as a Good-Will Gesture – The Daily Beast.

After reading the above article, I thought to myself: “What do the Afghani Muslims do who are being killed by other Afghan Muslims, for the same reason the four Americans have been killed?” Will the gift of Qurans by them to the Islamists stop the killing of their fellow Muslim countrymen?

It is amazing to think that evil will be stopped by pacifying it with a “good deed.” The Quran burning resulted in the deaths of more Afghani Muslims (Sunni) than Americans. Why? Because it was not about justice being served or righting an offense against Islam, Allah or the prophet; rather, it was an opportunity for evil to satisfy itself with the blood of the innocent. An “offense” in Islam is an opportunity for death to feed. You do not feed evil with apologies or gifts of Qurans. Evil can only be satiated with more evil; death with more death.  We are fools to think that being “nice” to Islam, no matter how noble our intent, will stop the deaths of the innocent.

Justice is not the object of the Afghani Islamists. If it were, apologies would have been the right course of action, they would have calmed the stormy circumstances in Afghanistan and around the Muslim world. Americans are naive, good, people. We have not figured out who the enemy is. You do not fight a serial killer by giving him a fresh set of knives if he will come in for a talk.
